Students in the first and second years of the1st cycle who feel they can complete the1st cycle at the end of the current school year may sit the final exam of the 1st cycle at the end of the first year.at the end of the current school year may sit the final examination of the1st cycle at the end of the first or second year instead of the final examination.In the event of failure to pass the examination and/or non-validation of all the disciplines attached to the diploma, the student may take the final examination of the higher cycle at the end of the first or second year instead of the final examination.In the event of failure to pass the examination and/or failure to validate all the disciplines attached to the diploma, they must continue their studies in the higher year of the1st cycle and sit the final examination again.

Diploma of1st cycle of Accompaniment
The grade (Très bien, Bien or Assez bien) qualifying the Diplôme de1er cycle supérieur is that awarded by the jury at the end of the final examination in the main discipline.
The Diplôme de1er cycle supérieur d'Accompagnement is also awarded to students who did not obtain a distinction in the final examination in their main discipline, but whose results in the final examinations of the second cycle are satisfactory.The Diplôme Supérieur 1er Cycle Accompagnement is also awarded to students who have not obtained a distinction in the final examination in their main discipline but whose results in the first and second year examinations allow them to do so, in accordance with the procedures described in Title I - article 5 of the Academic Regulations.

Course objectives and content
Training in specific accompaniment techniques and acquisition of the basic vocal and instrumental repertoire.
Development of professional skills.
Sight-reading (alone or with partners).
Knowledge and progressive acquisition of the vocal and instrumental repertoire.
Practice in transposition, continuo, choral and orchestral reduction.
Work with instrumentalists and singers.
The Diplôme de1er cycle supérieur d'Accompagnement is awarded to students who have obtained all of the following awards:
ECTS the1st cycle Superior Accompaniment Certificate 139 a certificate or attestation in each of the following compulsory complementary disciplines : - analysis A or B 8 - introduction to music history 2 - complementary chamber music 9 - introduction to keyboard harmonisation A or B or introduction to composition A or B 8 - modern language 3 - practical aspects of the profession 1 and 2 1 - professional situations 4 - a certificate or attestation in an optional complementary subject of your choice :
- choreographic accompaniment
- basso continuo
- Italian lyric diction (accompanists)
- German lyric diction (accompanists)
- English lyrical diction (accompanists)
- keyboard harmonisation A or B (if introduction to writing chosen in DCI)
- initiation to A or B writing (if keyboard harmonisation chosen in DCI)

Bachelor's degree
A partnership between the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and Sorbonne-Université enables Conservatoire students who so wish, and who are admitted to the 1st cycle, to obtain, together with the Conservatoire's 1st cycle diploma, and subject to fulfilling the conditions for enrolment at the university, the Bachelor degree of Music and Musicology from Sorbonne-Université, including the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien (DNSPM) from the CNSMDP, and validation at the university of four 26-hour courses, spread over four semesters, chosen from the "Domaines musicologiques" teaching units.
Students are free to choose at which stage of their studies at the Conservatoire (1st or 2nd cycle) they wish to begin this university course.
Registration and payment of university fees are required to follow the courses. -

Admissibilité
- exécution au piano d’une ou plusieurs œuvres du répertoire, affichage le 10 janvier ;
- déchiffrage pour piano seul, précédé d’une mise en loge de 10 minutes avec piano ;
- exécution à vue en sons réels d’un ou de plusieurs extraits d’œuvres écrits pour instruments transpositeurs en sib et en ré.
À leur demande, sont dispensés de l’épreuve n° 1, les candidats titulaires d’un diplôme de 1er ou de 2e cycle supérieur de piano des CNSMD de Paris ou de Lyon obtenus depuis moins de cinq ans, ou actuellement en classe de piano dans l’un des deux CNSMD.
Aucune dispense n’est accordée pour les épreuves n° 2 et n° 3.
Admission
- accompagnement à vue d’une œuvre instrumentale, suivi d’un travail de mise en place avec l’instrumentiste de dix minutes environ (mise en loge de 10 minutes avec piano) ;
- accompagnement à vue d’une autre œuvre instrumentale (courte préparation devant le jury, sans piano).
Les candidats reçus au concours d'entrée en 1er cycle supérieur qui ne sont pas ressortissants d’États francophones devront présenter, avant le 30 juin précédant leur première inscription au Conservatoire, un certificat émanant d’un organisme agréé par le gouvernement français attestant d’un niveau en langue française au moins égal à B1 dans l’échelle des niveaux communs de référence du Conseil de l’Europe.
