An adapted schedule
In parallel with their musical or choreographic studies at the Conservatoire, students at neighboring establishments can take advantage of special timetable courses, i.e. half-day classes from Monday to Friday (or Saturday). In this way, Conservatoire students can devote themselves to their artistic studies without neglecting their general education.
The unique student card
You'll be issued with a student card when you enroll: it's essential to your studies. It will enable you to enter the Conservatoire, book your work space, access the canteen and the media library. It also entitles you to discounts in certain cultural, leisure and restaurant venues. Don't hesitate to show it on your next outing.
To qualify for student status, students who pass the entrance exam must pay tuition fees and join the student social security scheme. Foreign students are required to provide a long-stay visa, marked "student", or a long-stay visa, valid as a residence permit, marked "student".

Inappropriate treatment report unit
A unit has been set up within the Paris Conservatoire to deal with reports of violence, discrimination, moral or sexual harassment and sexist behaviour.
The unit is open to all persons, both adults and minors, who consider themselves to be victims or witnesses of acts of violence, discrimination, moral or sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, threats or any other act of intimidation in the workplace or at school, in the performance of their duties or as part of their training.
A smoke-free Conservatoire
In its fight against smoking, particularly passive smoking, the French government has decided to tighten the legal ban on smoking in public places. Since February 1st 2007, smoking has been banned inside the Conservatoire, including courtyards, walkways, balconies and terraces.
You are craving a cigarette?
The Conservatoire's health and safety committee has recommended a single derogation, namely a smoking area in the so-called "outdoor performance area" (an outdoor slab on the upper first floor located between the dome of the organ hall and the stage cage of the opera hall). For the sake of balance, and on an experimental basis, management has decided to maintain smoking in another outdoor area, the patio on level -2.

The restaurant is reserved for Conservatoire staff and students. It is open during the school year every day (Monday to Friday), except during the summer and Christmas vacations. The magnetic Conservatory access badge is rechargeable and allows you to pay for your snacks and meals.
