Founded in 1795, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris is France's leading public institution for the transmission of the musical and choreographic arts. Thanks to its numerous international partnerships and the renown of its professors and alumni, it ranks among the most prestigious institutions in the world.
The Conservatoire is fully engaged with its time through an ambitious policy of creation, research, and public outreach, enriched by a wide variety of free concerts, dance performances, lectures, public courses, and colloquia. It integrates into an ecosystem that is unique in Europe, alongside the Cité de la Musique - Philharmonie de Paris, its resident orchestras, La Villette, and the Centre National de la Danse, where creation, interpretation, research, and transmission converge. The Conservatoire de Paris welcomes nearly 1,400 students.
