Based on the study of theatrical texts and the analysis of performances, this course proposes a reflection on the relationship between text and staging, based on a body of work chosen from the Paris theatre season which the students attend. The teaching is linked to the shows chosen and will be adapted to the health situation if necessary (work based on recordings or online creations).

This is a fundamental course in the chronological and synthetic history of music, covering developments in notation, genres and forms, writing, collective and individual styles, practices and functions in Western music, from Gregorian chant to the present day, and combining lectures, workshops, presentations and research.

Mediation is an essential component of the development of a pluralist choreographic artist, and is the subject of a research/action approach, in conjunction with partners active in the region.

A work mediation project enables students to meet a varied audience in a choreographic context. These projects are devised and run by the students themselves. They are supported by the Conservatoire's teaching staff and by partner teams from the Centre national de la danse and Ateliers Médicis, supervised by the partner structure and an artistic personality who acts as tutor.

Partnerships are formed with local organisations. These initiatives may involve regional, municipal or other conservatoires, as well as local structures such as senior citizens' centres or PMI.

In this respect, the Conservatoire's regional network is a powerful resource.

In preparation for this project, the Ensemble Chorégraphique's tours also lend themselves to experimentation with a wide range of audiences, as part of initiatives devised with the host structures. Meetings are regularly organised around the repertoires on tour, enabling the artists to experiment with different forms of mediation, in a variety of settings (classes, public rehearsals, workshops or master classes) and sometimes in new ways.
