Composition
This course aims to give students a solid grounding in composition techniques, in a wide variety of aesthetics and approaches, in instrumental, vocal, mixed and electronic music. Concerts and workshops with a wide variety of performers and guest artists give students the opportunity to perform the works they have created from the very first year, right through to the composition prize concert that marks their entry into professional life. The individual approach that is characteristic of the Conservatoire de Paris composition classes means that students receive personalised support from a teacher who follows their progress throughout the course, in the spirit of tailor-made training.
Jazz dance
Drawing on a wide range of techniques, jazz dance allows great freedom of movement. It's a sequence of dynamics, abandoned to a state of impulse, and a rhythmic structuring that transforms a familiar technical vocabulary into new sensations.
Introduction to conducting ensembles for composers
To provide access to conducting for students in composition classes who wish to complete their technical and artistic training, in line with their personal career path and professional orientation. The aim is to link training in conducting with the performance of pieces written by the students.
Introduction to conducting A and B
This option introduces students to the various aspects of orchestral conducting, such as the study of scores, conducting techniques, interpretation and relations with the orchestra.
