Italian lyrical diction (singer)
Lyric diction classes are unique in that they are a precious resource for interpreters, enabling singers, piano accompanists, musicologists and conductors to discover other cultures and restore the singularities and poetry of the work in its original language.
The aim of the Italian lyric diction course is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge they need to interpret the Italian repertoire independently. It focuses on the specific features of the language (vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, syntax), knowledge of the Italian poetic, lyrical and polyphonic repertoire, and the fundamental elements of interpretation. All the knowledge acquired will enable students to project themselves into a role within their grasp.
Medieval counterpoint
Teaching medieval counterpoint aims to train the ear through writing, singing and stylistic imitation. By providing grammatical and stylistic skills, it gives performers the keys to an enlightened interpretation of the repertoires between 1150 and 1470, particularly in terms of musica ficta, composition or restoration of missing parts (analysis of works and treatises).
Methodological approaches to research Dance
Based on the artists' sensitive experience, the research work enables each student to analyse his or her own practice and to develop a unique voice. In the first year, methodological tools and reading and writing workshops enable students to give form to their critical questioning by keeping a research notebook, nourished as much by observation as by practice. In the second year, the emphasis is on the dramaturgy of the dissertation, inviting students to explore different writing formats that resonate with their creative process, accompanied by artist-researchers. This work culminates in a defence, a high point for collective reflection and sharing of experience.
