Three rising stars from France and three from London join forces for a recital of epic proportions. Six dazzling pianists selected for this occasion by the Royal College of Music and Paris Conservatoire, present six concerts in one, featuring an original selection of classic and contemporary works. The programme will include pieces by Bach, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Medtner, Brahms, Scarlatti, Ravel, Rachmaninov, and Lavignac. The students will perform solo pieces and will join by groups of two, three and even four – forty fingers on one keyboard! – sharing their techniques and different approaches. This cross-Channel collaboration will be recorded by BBC Radio 3 for a future broadcast.
