Engineering and operations
From deciding which equipment to use, to preparing and configuring systems, to engineering and upgrading studios, this course aims to give students a high-level command of audiovisual equipment, post-production tools and network technology, in order to carry out an audio or audiovisual project.
Creation, composition and production of music for the screen FSMS
Combining theory (layout, session management, post-production) and practice (recording workshops), this course enables students to acquire solid expertise in the creation and production of sound recordings. This is achieved by familiarising students with a variety of specific tools, from programming and digital audio processing to post-production, music and sound design and specialist software. By the end of this course, musician-engineers will have mastered the entire standardised music-to-picture post-production chain, with a view to use in a cinematographic context.
Mixing current music
Based around sound recording and mixing sessions, and courses combining practical exercises and masterclasses, this course aims to develop the method and confidence needed to carry out a post-production and mixing project, in keeping with the aesthetic of the recorded repertoire. At the end of this course, musician-engineers will be able to prepare and manage a work session with musicians and to prioritise the artistic and technical issues involved, using different technologies.
Sound recording, mixing, post-production - Amplified music
Covering aesthetic, technical and methodological issues, this course provides training in sound recording in the fields of rock, variety and jazz music. Combining the roles of sound recordist and musician-arranger, students are able to carry out recording sessions of contemporary music in the studio or live, from preparation to mixing, in a wide variety of aesthetics.
