In the form of a workshop, this course creates the conditions for concrete collaboration between researchers, artists and engineers, with a view to acquiring an in-depth knowledge of computer tools for sound creation. At the end of this course, in addition to programming and developing real-time processing and sound synthesis tools, students will have the keys to digital arts project management and will learn to work as part of a group.

From sight-reading alone or with partners, to the practice of transposition, orchestral and vocal ensemble reduction, improvised accompaniment and the study of the orchestral keyboard and contemporary piano, this teaching provides the technical fundamentals of piano accompaniment. Participation in classes, masterclasses and recordings also enables students to work in depth on works from the great instrumental repertoire. To complement this training, numerous workshops and concerts are organised, involving pianists in the life of the school.

Through exploration of the instrument's repertoire, historical perspective and in-depth technical work, this course aims to develop mastery of the instrument and a critical approach to interpretation. Particular attention is paid to listening to one's body, in order to prevent the aches and pains associated with playing the instrument. The face-to-face teaching approach allows for personalised learning, helping each student to reach his or her full potential.
