The cornet is an optional subject within the discipline.

Assessment terms and conditions
1st YEAR HIGH SCHOOL
1st year exam
- a compulsory etude, posted 2 months before the exam
- a compulsory work or excerpt from a work for trumpet and piano, posted 2 months before the exam.
Year2 exam
- Joseph Haydn: Concerto in E flat major Hob VIIe/11st movement ;
- up to 5 orchestral excerpts chosen in agreement with the teacher.
DNSPM final examination
Public recital
Duration: 30 minutes maximum
- a compulsory contemporary work, posted two months before the examination ;
- a compulsory work from the repertoire, posted two months before the exam;
- a work of your choice, in agreement with the teacher.
The1st cycle trumpet certificate is awarded to students who pass the DNSPM final examination.
The certificate is awarded on the basis of the marks awarded by the jury at the end of the DNSPM final examination.
2nd higher cycle
1st year recital
Non-public recital
- a compulsory contemporary work, posted two months before the examination ;
- a compulsory work from the repertoire, posted two months before the examination;
- a work of the student's choice, in agreement with the teacher;
- an oral commentary by the jury after deliberation.
2nd year recital
Public recital
Duration: 50 minutes maximum
Free programme
The Trumpet Prize is awarded to the student who has won a prize in each of the two2nd year recitals.
The mention for the Trumpet Prize is the mention awarded by the jury for the free recital in the2nd year of the2nd cycle.
