In partnership with IRCAM and performing arts institutions (opera houses, contemporary music venues) involved in the creation of video sets and virtual sets.

The aim of this course is to provide students with a basic knowledge of the evolution of musical languages, forms and genres, as well as the tools for critical and sensitive reflection required for artistic direction. The approach of the course, which combines a wide range of historical, analytical, cultural and social points of entry, aims to put the Western repertoire of the written tradition into perspective in all its many dimensions.
