After a presentation of the evolution over time of the professions of sound post-production, editing and sound effects in cinema, students learn about the sound post-production process for a feature film. By the end of this course, they will have mastered the methodological and technical tools (sound editing tools, picture mixing) as well as the standards for a ready-to-broadcast project, so as to be able to work independently.

This option gives writing students the chance to learn to play the keyboard if it is not their main instrument.

Study and understanding of the logic of harmonic language and its evolution in the main styles (classical, romantic, post-romantic, modern), the mechanisms of modulation according to the periods and their influence on interpretation.

Sound design refers to the creation of sound in all areas where it is necessary to think about sound, imagine it, make it and then integrate it. In this course, students are encouraged to examine all the tools at their disposal to act and create within constraints. A number of creative and production exercises are proposed in this context (radio or audiovisual programme dressings, radio jingles, credits, sound messages for public spaces, sound design for video games, musical design of video game sequences, etc.).
