Aesthetics A

INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content

The aim of this course is to understand music in its relationship to literature and the arts, and to compare it with the evolution of societies, mentalities and practices. Based on an introduction to the history of aesthetic theories and the main currents of thought, the course provides access to a large corpus of fundamental texts. It encourages students to question their own practice, to think critically and sensitively about sound, and to transpose its issues to other fields of creation.
