Creation, composition and production of music for the screen FSMS

Combining theory (layout, session management, post-production) and practice (recording workshops), this course enables students to acquire solid expertise in the creation and production of sound recordings. This is achieved by familiarising students with a variety of specific tools, from programming and digital audio processing to post-production, music and sound design and specialist software. By the end of this course, musician-engineers will have mastered the entire standardised music-to-picture post-production chain, with a view to use in a cinematographic context.

Through exploration of the instrument's repertoire, historical perspective and in-depth technical work, this course aims to develop mastery of the instrument and a critical approach to interpretation. Particular attention is paid to listening to one's body, in order to prevent the aches and pains associated with playing the instrument. The face-to-face teaching approach allows for personalised learning, helping each student to reach his or her full potential.

Mixing current music

Based around sound recording and mixing sessions, and courses combining practical exercises and masterclasses, this course aims to develop the method and confidence needed to carry out a post-production and mixing project, in keeping with the aesthetic of the recorded repertoire. At the end of this course, musician-engineers will be able to prepare and manage a work session with musicians and to prioritise the artistic and technical issues involved, using different technologies.
