The department includes courses in writing, composition and conducting, which train composers and conductors, and contribute to the erudition of performers, musicologists and pedagogues. Nearly 30 teachers and numerous guest artists throughout the year support the 180 students in their artistic, intellectual and professional development.
With nearly 20 public events and more than 10 recording sessions with instrumental ensembles, vocal ensembles and symphony orchestras per year, priority is given to experimentation and the expression of talent, in collaboration with some of the major players on the musical scene. A wide range of options gives students the opportunity to enrich their curriculum with a multiplicity of facets, in line with their unique artistic project.
Each course is subject to a specific entrance examination.
