Training for the DE
This 3-year course leads to the Diplôme d'Etat (DE) in music teaching, in conjunction with the1st and2nd cycle courses for performers, to ensure optimum harmonisation of courses. Designed to complement the artistic training, the DE course invites performers to define their own unique pedagogical approaches through training in teaching and knowledge of the professional environment.
The training is based on a common core combining theoretical, practical and reflective dimensions, through :
- courses at the Conservatoire :
- All the compulsory disciplines leading to the DNSPM performer's diploma
- Some compulsory upper 2nd cycle subjects to be taken in advance (research methodology, TEP, work experience, optional complementary subjects, introduction to pedagogy and practical aspects of the musician's profession 3 and 4)
- Sciences of music education
- Music mediation
- practical experience with partners in the Paris region :
- mediation workshops (in the school, social, hospital and disability fields)
- concert mediation
- 80-hour work placement at a conservatoire.
DURATION
3 years
Completion of the DE at the latest with the2nd cycle diploma conferring the grade of Master.
