Course objectives and content
Preparing for the chamber music profession and international chamber music competitions.
Developing the group's artistic identity.
Ability to design and perform a recital independently.
Ability of the group to develop and express a reflection on its artistic practice.
Development of the ability to enter professional life.
Research and approach an extended and personalised repertoire.
Development of a considered and autonomous artistic practice.
In-depth work in a group, as well as occasionally within a different composition group.
Master classes
Participation in master classes is compulsory.

Visa
Non-EU candidates must apply for a short-stay “competition” visa in order to take part in the entrance examinations. If successful, this visa will then allow you to apply for a student visa. You should not apply for a tourist visa. More information here
Required Diploma
This audition is open to ensembles composed of candidates who hold, either:
- In France, a Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien (DNSPM)
- Abroad, an equivalent first-cycle diploma in violin, viola, or cello.
Candidates in their final year of undergraduate studies may also apply, provided they submit a certificate of enrollment specifying their current academic status at the time of registration.
If admitted, they must present their completed diploma before the first enrollment.
French Language Level
Successful candidates who are not nationals of French-speaking countries must present:

Upon first enrollment: a French language certificate (DELF or TCF) at level B1 or higher;

Then, by the following December 10, a certificate at level B2 or higher.
Additional Information
A candidate may not apply with more than one ensemble.
ECMAster programme
Candidates may apply for the ECMAster program, an international master in chamber music (see “Associated Programs” tab), by completing the dedicated form at the time of registration. More information on this joint program is available on the European Chamber Music Academy website.

Pre-selection
Evaluation by an internal jury based on a dossier including:

A copy of the required diploma

A curriculum vitae
Admission

A 20-minute program proposed by the candidate ensemble, including works from different periods and styles
-
An interview in French or English with all members of the group (approximately 15 minutes), covering their motivations
