INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content
    • Be familiar with the different practical approaches to multichannel sound recording and 3D sound (binaural and multichannel)
    • master sound recording and post-production techniques for mixing with an "object" orientation
    • Master sound recording and post-production techniques for holophonic systems (Wave Fiels Synthesis and Ambisonics)

    Practical 5.1 mixing course

    Students work in pairs to produce a 5.1 mix from a multitrack recording provided.

    Experimental recordings at the Conservatoire

    Each year, a CNSM production is chosen as the setting for an experimental multichannel recording. The recording and post-production of this project take place in the Conservatoire's technical facilities.

  • Assessment terms and conditions

    Compulsory submission of a finished personal production for a multi-channel, binaural or multi-speaker broadcasting system.

    Validation of the project by the FSMS teaching team or validation as part of a presentation for the "Production Projects/Research Project" certificate.
