Study of treatises & ornamentation. (Initiation)

Objectives and content
-Discovering the sources for interpreting the French Baroque repertoire.

-This includes reading treatises, listening to and analysing works, student presentations, French and Italian ornamentation, improvisation and the discovery of performance styles, instrumental methods and theoretical texts of the Baroque period.
Programme
<p>Each course includes theory, written exercises and instrumental practice.</p> <p>Instrumental students bring their instrument to each lesson.</p>
