Objectives and content
Study of sources for interpreting the French Baroque repertoire (pre-Classical, Classical and18th-19thcentury aggregation, evolution of figured music and basso continuo style, documentation and research, music publishing, evolution of the instrumental suite, rhythmic inequalities and problems, foreign influences on forms, phrasing: evolution from 1650 to 1800, vocal sources of instrumental music, terminology: tempo, rhythm, expression, dynamics, music theory, notation, solfeggios).

<p> </p> <p>A text to be written and played</p> <p>Depending on the student's instrumental discipline, the examination will focus on one of the following three periods:</p> <ul> <li>French pre-classicism, around 1650</li> <li>French Classicism, from 1700 to 1750</li> <li>Eighteenth to nineteenth century</li> </ul>
