Objectives and content
To enable pianists to deepen their technical knowledge of the instrument but also to enrich their musical and creative discourse by working in all areas of jazz and improvised music as well as in a selected repertoire of classical and contemporary music (harmony, phrasing, melody, rhythm).
Work on posture. Importance of the body in the musician/instrument relationship: the free pianist .
Specific technical exercises focusing on the "colours" of jazz.
Traditional jazz piano: using scores (or transcriptions) by Scott Joplin, Thomas "Fats" Waller, James P. Johnson, Willie Smith etc (ragtime and stride piano), pianists deepen their knowledge of the origins of jazz while discovering masterpieces of the piano repertoire. These works are performed in concert.

Standards from all styles and periods, from George Gershwin and Cole Porter to Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter and Kenny Wheeler.
Work on notes and transcriptions: deepening the language of improvisation through imitation and analysis of the most important solos in the history of the piano: Bud Powell, Lennie Tristano, Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, etc.
Work on the classical repertoire :
- works from the piano repertoire, chosen by the student or the teacher according to the technical and musical interest of the proposed piece (Bach, Brahms, Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Scriabine, Messiaen, Dutilleux, etc.)
