Introduction to bass clarinet

Acquisition of the technical bases specific to bass clarinet playing, with a view to the student's participation in the Conservatoire's collective activities.

Adapted to the student's level, introduction to the specific embouchure, progressive work on velocity, study of orchestral lines, introduction to contemporary techniques.

Accessible to Clarinet students from the second year of the^1st cycle (or from the first year, on the advice of the clarinet teacher).

Certificate examination

Duration: 25 minutes maximum

1. one transcribed classical compulsory piece ;
2. an original contemporary compulsory piece
3. compulsory orchestral excerpts.

The programme is posted 6 weeks before the exam.
