Objectives and content
Develop knowledge of the history of music, musical works and their interpretation. Provide tools for research into interpretation. Acquire tools for oral and written expression.
The history of music is studied in particular from the point of view of the relationship between works and their interpretation. The courses focus on historical periods or cross-disciplinary themes, with the emphasis on cross-disciplinary work: analysis of sources and comparison of different musical versions, historical recordings, stage analysis of productions considered as interpretations of the work, acquisition of tools for further research and developing one's own criticism.
