    Development of artistic personality ;
    Ability to design and perform a recital independently;
    Ability to develop and express reflections on one's artistic practice;
    Development of the ability to enter professional life;
    Acquisition of techniques specific to vocal accompaniment in individual lessons or in small groups, with the aim of developing the student's independence in a professional situation;
    Work in duet with a singer on the Lied, mélodie and oratorio repertoire;

    2ND CYCLE RECITALS


    1st year recital (and 2nd year recital in the case of a 3-year course) (not open to the public):
    1) performance of a continuo at the keyboard accompanying a singer;
    2) piano reduction of a choral score;
    3) piano reduction of an excerpt from an orchestral score;
    4) transposition of a melody while accompanying a singer;
    5) deciphering for solo piano.
    There will be a 50-minute practice session, with piano, for these five tests.
    6) Sight-reading of a work from the vocal repertoire followed by work with a singer (short
    preparation in front of the jury);
    7) 20-minute Lied and mélodie recital, including at least 3 languages.

    2nd year recital (public):
    1) a 30-minute Lied and mélodie programme, the theme of which will be chosen
    chosen by the student in agreement with the teacher.
    This could be a major cycle, an aesthetic trend, a poet-composer relationship, etc. (cf. "Free recital" data sheet);
    2) extracts chosen by the jury from two projects proposed by the student relating to reading techniques

    The Vocal Accompaniment Prize is awarded to the student who obtains an award for each of the following

    The mention for the Vocal Accompaniment Prize is the mention awarded by the jury for the recital in the
    2nd year of the 2nd cycle.
    The Diplôme de 2e cycle supérieur d'Accompagnement vocal conferring the grade of Master is
    is awarded to students who have obtained all of the following awards :
    - the Vocal Accompaniment Prize ;
    - a certificate or attestation in each of the following compulsory complementary disciplines
    complementary disciplines:
    - German lyric diction (accompanists) or Italian lyric diction (accompanists) or
    English (accompanists) other than the optional complementary discipline
    chosen in the 1st cycle
    - Modern language
    - a certificate or attestation in one of the following optional disciplines:
    - Choral singing
    - Keyboard harmonisation
    - Generative improvisation
    - Drama
    - Alexander Technique
    - Piano forte
    - Continuous bass
    - a certificate or attestation in each of the following specific disciplines:
    - Research methodology
    - Personal study work (it is recommended that the PET be accompanied by an audio or video model
    of a Lied or mélodie programme of approximately 15 minutes)

    - Practical aspects of the profession 4
    - Professional situations
    - Introduction to pedagogy
    The grade of the 2nd cycle diploma conferring the grade of Master is the grade obtained
    in the 2nd year recital of the 2nd cycle.

  • Duration of studies

    2 years, with one hour of lessons per week with the teacher and 3/4 of an hour with the assistant.
    A 3rd year may be considered provided that:
    - a request is made before the end of the 1st term of the 2nd year;
    - all the complementary and optional subjects have been completed in 2 years, with the 3rd year only being granted to follow the main subject;
    - have received a favourable opinion from a committee comprising the school headmaster, the head of department and the teacher of the main subject.
