Objectives and content
This course aims to deepen the knowledge of students who have already practised English ("intermediate" and "advanced" levels).
Broadening of the lexical field, thematic lessons, study of various articles and literary works, general culture subjects relating to Anglo-Saxon countries.

Entrance terms and conditions
This course may be chosen as a DCI in Modern Languages (see Modern Languages study path). A compulsory placement test is offered at the start of the academic year.
Subject to availability, the course is open to Conservatoire students who have chosen another DCI - Modern Language or who have already obtained their certificate or chosen this course as a DCO.

Assessment terms and conditions
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
Attendance at all continuous assessment tests (oral assessments) is compulsory in order to obtain the end-of-year Certificate.
Remedial and exemption examination
This exam is offered at the beginning of the school year:
- for students who have not obtained their Certificate by June, on the advice of the teacher.
- for new Conservatoire students wishing to be exempted.
