INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content

-Ability to make independent decisions regarding the conditions of use of audio equipment suitable for the production of an audio or audiovisual project.

-Ability to set up, operate and upgrade image and sound post-production studios.

-Preparation, installation and configuration of audiovisual and IT systems (quality approach and guarantee of implementation of a reliable and appropriate system).

High-level mastery of the use of audiovisual equipment and the use, configuration and adaptation of post-production and network technology tools for the production of an audio or audiovisual project.

-Know how to manage equipment and coordinate its maintenance.

In-depth knowledge of editing and post-production tools. (Configuration, operation, editing, multi-track editing, recording, mixing).

-Know how to organise a project and how to manage the various stages of a project (choice of systems, preparation of their operation, choice of a methodology adapted to the constraints of the project, etc.).

    Year 1:

TD: In-depth knowledge of microphones in operation.

TD: Analysis and then drafting of technical sheets to support the preparation of a sound recording and sound system project.

TD: Audio chain, theory and use of audio processing (spectrum, dynamics, space)

    General objectives :

-Expert mastery of a workstation (Pyramix, Protools, Logic audio, etc.)

Expert-level knowledge of the engineering of audio and audiovisual operating systems (recording, post-production, broadcasting, data sharing and security, quality and ergonomics of the technological solutions chosen).

-Advanced configuration, parameterisation, performance, operating limits.

Securing data and organising the reliability of a chosen system for broadcast use.

Case studies, real-world applications (radio, television, studio, image-based music, etc.)

-Mastery and speed in the construction of the pre-mix of a project (flattening)

-Ability to prioritise processing and mixing options.

    -Complex editing and post-production.

    Year2:

Practical work on editing and post-production.

Presentation of direct applications in a professional context:

    - stereo and multitrack sound recording

    - stereo and multitrack editing

    - mixing (music studio, music to picture, live television)

    - session organisation methodology (headphone returns, management of processor resources, hard disks, latency induced by calculations, etc.).
