    One or two mock exams per year.

    Preparation for recruitment competitions for various French and foreign orchestras.

  • Assessment terms and conditions

    1st YEAR HIGH SCHOOL

    1st year examination

    1. a technical study ;
    2. a work of your choice, in agreement with the teacher.

    2nd year examination

    • two works of your choice, in agreement with the teacher.

    DNSPM final examination

    Public recital

    Duration: 30 minutes maximum

    • a programme of the student's choice, in agreement with the teacher.

    The1st cycle bass trombone certificate is awarded to students who pass the DNSPM final examination.

    The certificate is awarded on the basis of the final DNSPM examination.

    2nd higher cycle

    1st year recital

    Non-public recital

    Duration: 30 minutes maximum

    1. a recital programme, chosen by the student in agreement with the teacher, from a list of works worked on during the year ;
    2. a work composed after 1980 including contemporary writing methods, chosen from a compulsory list, posted eight weeks before the recital;
    3. an oral commentary by the jury after deliberation.

    2nd year recital

    Public recital

    Duration: 50 minutes maximum

    Free programme

    The Bass Trombone Prize is awarded to the student who obtains an award in each of the two2nd year recitals.

    The mention for the Bass Trombone Prize is the mention awarded by the jury for the free recital in the2nd year of the2nd cycle.
