  • Objectives and content

    OBJECTIVES

    • To become familiar with the narrative processes and languages used in audiovisual creation.
    • To know how to choose, define and share production intentions (work plan, drafting, concept note, synopsis, "bible", storyboard).
    • Know how to choose and use the audiovisual languages required for a project: choice of format (4:3, 16:9, 2:35, black and white or colour, etc.), writing (sequence shots, very detailed editing, choice of frames), technical resources (machinery, single or multi-camera), aesthetics (lighting, costumes), sound (stereo, immersive, etc.), etc.
    • be able to communicate your intentions effectively to the producers, and then to the technicians, to ensure an overall understanding of the project
    • Be able to create a clear narrative for the audience (opera, concert, music video, documentary, visual object, etc.)
    • Acquire the ability to federate artistic and technical teams around a project, to have an overall vision, as well as all the stages of a production (knowledge of the different trades and their specificities).

    CONTENT

    • Theory: audiovisual languages, scripting, sequencing, writing, dramatic structures and progressions, processes, etc.
    • Tutorials: following the study and analysis of (supervised) sequences, a stylistic exercise with the aim of creating a short sequence in a targeted aesthetic.
