  • Objectives and content

    Acquire the complementary professional skills required for artistic work with pupils and for running musical projects in a school setting. Conduct research into the specific nature of the artist's role in a transmission process.

  • Programme
    <p>Group training sessions from 7 to 22 September 2023.</p> <p>Residence for each student in a school (elementary or middle school) from October to June, with regular meetings with the tutor.</p> <p>Group sessions to share experiences during the school year (4 between November and April). </p> <p>Project presentations (in the school and collective presentations) in June 2024. </p> <p>Thesis defended in the respective art schools in autumn 2024.</p> <p> </p>
  • Entrance terms and conditions

    This course is open to all students with a Master's degree from the Conservatoire national de musique et de danse de Paris up to two years after obtaining their Master's degree.

    Pre-selection on the basis of a portfolio, followed by an interview with the shortlisted candidates.

    The selection file will include :

    • a curriculum vitae ;
    • a portfolio of artistic activities, in particular experience in a school, extra-curricular or socio-educational environment;
    • a creative and artistic project with a class
    • a letter of motivation.

    The admissions panel is made up of leading figures from the artistic world, educational managers and representatives of institutional partners.

    During the interview, the jury will focus on :

    • The quality and artistic maturity of the work presented;
    • The candidate's ability to contextualise his or her artistic project and explain the link between artistic practice and work in schools;
    • The candidate's level of knowledge in the artistic and theoretical fields;
    • The candidate's adaptability and autonomy;
    • fluency and rigour in oral expression.
  • Assessment terms and conditions
    • Final public performance of the student's project;
    • Writing and defending a research dissertation on artistic practice in schools and the notion of transmission.
