Objectives and content
Improve sight-reading skills through individual practice, and by taking advantage of opportunities to sight-read with another instrumentalist or singer.
Extending musical culture by stimulating curiosity and exploring contemporary literature.
All works using the piano (original, reduction or transcription): oratorio, opera, lied, concerto accompaniment, sonata with instrument, four hands, two pianos and, of course, works from the repertoire.

Entrance terms and conditions
Compulsory for all students in the1st year of the advanced piano cycle.
Exempted are students who have passed the entrance exam to the CNSMDP's1st cycle advanced accompaniment course or2nd cycle advanced piano accompaniment course.

Assessment terms and conditions
Final examination
- sight-reading of one or more pieces with an instrumentalist or singer;
- a reading of one or more pieces for solo piano;
Paper 1 is a 15-minute practice session, with piano, without telephone and with metronome.
Paper 2 is the subject of a short preparation in front of the jury without the aid of the keyboard.
An examination session is held at the end of each semester.
The module may be validated from the end of the third semester of study (exceptionally at the end of the second semester on the advice of the teacher) on the sole condition that the piano A sight-reading has been validated beforehand.
