Optics, colour and light

INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content

    OBJECTIVES

    • To know and use the physical models associated with the functioning of light, systems linked to image formation and the analysis of complex optical systems.
    • Master basic concepts: refraction, reflection, dispersion, real and virtual image, ray construction in a centred optical system.
    • Know how to analyse and understand interference and diffraction phenomena.
    • Finally, this course aims to establish a structured link between visual experience and the physical reality of image production.
