Mixing current music

INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content
    • Acquire method and confidence in the choice and use of technical equipment.
    • Develop an aesthetic sense in relation to the recorded repertoire.
    • Know how to prepare and manage a work session with musicians.
    • Prioritise artistic and technical issues.
    • Know how to manage projects using different technologies.

    This course is organised around specific sound recording and mixing sessions.

    Individual or pair mixing lessons are organised:

    • Exercises from studio or live productions are proposed and must be handed in.
    • Master class sessions are organised around particular styles of music.
  • Assessment terms and conditions

    The certificate is validated by all of the following modules:

    -Rendering of a compulsory mix

    -Performance of a live music production

    -Mixing and production exam (duration: 3 hours) (the final exam will take into account the professional and aesthetic orientations established by the student at the end of 2nd year).
