INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content

    -Introduction to the harpsichord on facsimile instruments.

    - Study of the touch of the harpsichord and the technique specific to this instrument.

    - Familiarity with different repertoires and styles (16th, 17th, 18th centuries), either through in-depth work on certain pieces or more rapid work on a wider repertoire.

    Links with the organ repertoire (Italian music from the early 17th century, for example) and with the aesthetics of different periods.

  • Programme
    <p>Work with two harpsichords, including improvisation on traditional basses such as passamezzo and romanesca.</p> <p>-Basic knowledge of harpsichord construction.</p>

    priority to students in organ class and subject to availability for students in accompaniment class, students in piano class and students in fortepiano class

    assessment based on course attendance and work done during the year.
