  • Objectives and content

    Training the expert ear by developing the reliability of technical listening.

    Acquire a precise vocabulary for analysing sound by mastering the various characteristic criteria (balance, relief, definition, etc.).

    Be able to judge a sound recording objectively using these criteria.

    10 sessions in groups of 4 devoted to acquiring the vocabulary specific to sound image analysis.

    These sessions consist of :

    Lessons : devoted to developing the technical ear, these classes present the mechanisms for developing parameterised and critical listening (perception of technical faults, identification of spectral zones, analysis of dynamic processing, judging the quality of loudspeakers, etc.).

    Tutorials : These focus on the comparative analysis of recordings (supplemented by personal assignments).

    Practical work : on elementary mixing elements (temporal and frequency corrections, corrections linked to the sound recording device, etc.)

  • Assessment terms and conditions

    Oral test of sound recording image analysis proposed by the jury.

    Oral test to detect technical faults.
