Objectives and content
Chamber music on historical instruments as varied and open as possible in terms of :
- repertoire;
- instrumental training.
Ensembles that have already been formed are accepted.

Entrance terms and conditions
Entrance exam: applications must be submitted before 1 October each year. Assignments are made following examination of the application, which must be accompanied by a brief project explaining the group's motivations.
This discipline is open to students of the Paris and Lyon CNSMDs in the second year of their advanced2nd cycle or to students holding an advanced2nd cycle diploma from the Paris and Lyon CNSMDs awarded no later than the end of the school year preceding the application.

Assessment terms and conditions
A control exam is organised in January. The 30-minute programme must be approved by the teacher(s).
Reward: mention très bien, bien, assez bien or radiation.
The certificate marks the end of schooling in this cycle: students are not allowed to take another course.
The final exam consists of a 30-minute programme. It must be approved by the teacher(s).

Duration of studies
1 year, with one hour of lessons per week with the same teacher(s). If two teachers are involved, the teaching will alternate.
