Baroque violin (Initiation)

INFORMATIONS

  • Objectives and content

    Introduction to the baroque violin and knowledge of its repertoire and different styles. Approach to the Baroque repertoire on the modern violin and on copies of 18th-century instruments; research into the construction of instruments and bows.

    Participation in an orchestra session or chamber music ensemble (early music) on the baroque violin.

    Option for 'modern' instrumentalists.

  • Assessment terms and conditions

    Assessment of course attendance and progress during the year.

  • Duration of studies

    1 year (2 years on the teacher's recommendation), 45 minutes of lessons per week.

    Lessons are given in the form of one-to-one tuition and in pairs.
