2nd higher cycle

Assessment terms and conditions
1st year recital (not open to the public) :
1) compulsory: a concerto, concerto movement or any work from the specific viola repertoire ; posted 6 weeks beforehand.
2) free: one or more works or extracts from works in the repertoire, including one with basso continuo, one in chamber music and one including a movement from a sonata in the classical or romantic repertoire.
The examination programme must be approved by the instrument teacher. It lasts approximately 40 minutes.
2nd year recital (public) :
A free recital, lasting no more than 50 minutes.

Duration of studies
throughout the course:
one hour per week with the baroque violin teacher and ½ hour per week with the associate classical and romantic violin teacher.
